After two years of absence on physical exhibitions, Canon will be present at the Fespa Global Print Expo 2021 which will be held from Tuesday 12 to Friday 15 October 2021 in the Netherlands in Amsterdam. The Japanese manufacturer will present many machines in demonstration. Under the theme "The Taste of Color," the flatbed and web printers will produce a variety of colorful prints such as posters, floor graphics, backlit double-sided signs, wallpaper, cardboard easels or textile transfer films.
The flagship machines on the Canon stand will be the roll-to-roll Colorado 1630 unveiled in May 2021 and the arizona 135 GT flatbed table launched in June. This is the first time the Japanese manufacturer will present its two latest printers at an international event.
Colorado 1630 is a modular printer with Uvgel technology. It adapts to the needs of printers with options such as FLXfinish technology, which offers a choice of matte and glossy finish for each print, a second roll media or automatic double-sided printing.
The Arizona 135 GT flatbed table is "the only printer in its segment with a field-upgradeable roll media option (RMO) that allows printing on flexible media." emphasizes Canon. Visitors to Fespa will be able to see it in action on a wide range of flexible and rigid substrates.
Canon will also install the UVgel Wallpaper Factory . The UVgel Wallpaper Factory is a fully automated solution for the production of high quality custom wallpapers, a fast growing industry.
This end-to-end production line consists of the Colorado 1650 and Fotoba's Jumbo Roll JRL 170 motorized media loader combined with the XLD 170WP cutter and REW 162 rewinder.
A second "factory" will be discovered, the UVgel Universal Factory . Another Colorado 1650 will be connected to a Fotoba Jumbo rewinder and a Jumbo reel loader at the booth. This installation will present "long run printing without an operator, for effective 24/7 production" .
Also not to be missed, the new set of UV led inks of the Arizona 135 GT, the IJC358 including CMYK inks, light cyan, light magenta and white.
"The new IJC358 ink set has superior adhesive properties, making it ideal for industrial printing applications on more difficult materials such as plastic." says Canon.
Visitors will also be able to discover other printers and services such as the Arizona 2380 XTF flatbed table or the ProCare after-sales service.
All printers on the Canon stand will be equipped with of the RIP Onyx 21 and automation software of the OneVision flow . Visitors to the OneVision booth, next door to Canon, will also be able to see the end-to-end automated workflow showcased with the Colorado and Arizona printers, the OneVision workflow and a Zünd S3 digital cutting table.
