Birth of Polyart, manufacturer of synthetic films and papers

Synthetic paper manufacturers Arjobex and MD, which merged earlier this year, are now called Polyart.

French synthetic paper manufacturer Arjobex, which until 2019 belonged to the Arjowiggins Group, acquired German specialty paper and film manufacturer MDV in January 2021.
Today, the arjobex/MDV Group thus constituted has a new name: Polyart. This name, "as a reminder of its global brand" refers to the high-end synthetic paper for the printing and label markets manufactured by Arjobex. This new name should help accelerate the development of the Boulogne-Billancourt-based group internationally.

Polyart, which operates three plants (one in Isère in Rives, one in the UK in Clacton-On-Sea and one in the US in North Carolina), offers films and papers for the industrial, decorative and security label market.
In 2021, its sales increased by 20 percent to 70 million euros. 70 million. 70% of sales are to Europe, 20% to the USA and 10% to Asia. Polyart is the European leader in specialty film and paper solutions.

"The recent merger has enabled significant operational and industrial synergies as well as a valuable reinforcement of our international presence. In 2022, we aim to develop significant commercial synergies by leveraging the group's global sales network, says Stéphane Daveau, CEO of Polyart. Polyart is now a coherent group, solidly equipped to prevail in growing markets."

The manufacturer has "continue the consolidation of the sector" with the support of its shareholders Prudentia Capital and Indigo Capital, and to accelerate its development in the United States and Asia with the creation of a subsidiary in India in early 2022.
