German manufacturer Koenig & Bauer launches a new range of security and authentication solutions for valuable documents and products, called Stegano.
Developed with the American Graphic Security Systems Corporation (GSSC), this range represents the first innovations to emerge from the two groups' collaboration in the field of steganography, the art of hiding data in an ordinary design or work of art to escape detection, replication and modification.
GSSC, which is the sole supplier to the US Department of State (DoS) for steganographic technology and software for the US passport card, brings its expertise in steganographic technologies, and Koenig & Bauer its know-how in printing presses and quality control.
Koenig & Bauer Stegano is suitable for printing on a wide variety of Koenig & Bauer flexo, offset and digital presses.
In addition, Koenig & Bauer develops and distributes machine vision systems for in-line and off-line quality control for various printing presses, and offers a wide variety of authentication solutions.
GSSC and Koenig & Bauer will be presenting the fruits of their collaboration in greater detail at Drupa 2024, which runs from May 28 to June 6.
