A new page for the Seri 3 print shop (79)

Relocation, investments and reorientation of sales have given the printing company new impetus.

One year ago, the NouvelR group from La Rochelle took over the struggling company Seri 3, located in Bressuire in the Deux-Sèvres region. Today, the company has reached financial equilibrium. Ludovic Charasse explains the strategy that has been put in place.

Creation of a POS pole in Seri 3

Equipped with old generation screen printing and digital tables, Seri 3 founded in 1985 was specialized in signage on adhesive. It had been loss-making for several years.
"We took it over to develop a POS division in addition to the Ambiance Graphique - La Rochelaise printing business, which I co-direct with Dominique Boucard ", explains Ludovic Charasse.

This change of activity was achieved through the creation of a design office. "We couldn't redirect customers to POS without a design office. We've invested in software that allows us to be a driving force in POS."

The co-head underlines: "We still do signage, but now we offer more things, especially in POS and ILV. We are much more versatile. "

Relocation, new printing machine and recruitment

This summer, Seri 3 moved, still in Bressuire, to premises more suitable for the new activity of the company. "The new building allows a better flow of production." A new printing machine, an Agfa Jeti Tauro H2500, was installed in the new building.

And while the new owner had to reduce the number of employees at the time of his takeover to get off to a good start, with the number of employees falling from 18 to 12, a new person has joined the printing team since the beginning of the year.

2020: the continuation of this reorientation

Today, the company, which has a turnover of 1.5 million, is at break-even for its first financial year. "We have regained the confidence of certain customers, redirected our sales and our commercial approach towards what we were looking for: POS".

"This year 2020, we hope to invest in more automation of the finishing process (cutting, creasing and POS formation). We are going to continue our efforts with a slightly more ambitious turnover development, still oriented towards companies that need POS. "
