One of the world's leading producers of packaging, pulp and paper made from renewable fibres, International Paper, is committed to four areas of environmental and human improvement with its Vision 2030 plan.
Between now and 2030, the 23 billion dollar American paper group, which has eight production sites in France, wants to improve the quality of its products and services forest governance on a global scale.
It also intends to promote the well-being of its 52,000 employees .
It is also committed to establishing environmental actions to improve its climate impact and water management. And finally, it will propose renewable solutions to accelerate the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
Each axis includes measurable objectives. Regarding environmental actions, it hopes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35% compared to 2017 levels, to reduce its water consumption by 25%.
And for renewable solutions, he will create innovative products that are fully reusable, recyclable or compostable.
The group also intends to source 100% wood from sustainably managed forests or recovered fibre.
