Know-how / A 100% cardboard collection for Yves Saint Laurent

Cosfibel created 5 boxes for Yves Saint Laurent. The specifications stipulated a 100% premium cardboard creation, including a patented wedge.

Yves Saint-Laurent entrusted Cosfibel with the creation of 5 boxes for a selection of skincare, make-up and fragrances emblematic of the brand. These mini boxes can be used for travel or for a "?découverte produit?".

In addition to the choice of formats and aesthetics, Cosfibel had to develop a new type of wedge capable of ensuring optimal product hold.

A cardboard wedge developed and patented by Cosfibel

The boxes are made of a rigid carcass lined with matt black printed Brossulin paper, and feature a cardboard wedge concept developed and patented by Cosfibel. These volume blocks incorporate a cut-out shape allowing them to be clipped into the base thanks to a system of notches. Then covered with the same paper, they hold the products down to the millimetre in order to guarantee that the general structure is as solid as plastic.

The boxes are available in five formats. Cosfibel has done a great deal of work in rewrapping:

"?Particulièrement sophisticated, this box required a lot of manual rewrapping. Among other things, we owe it a clever flap that holds the lid in place to avoid magnets. As for the decoration, the Cassandra motif is either hot stamping printed or made of gold-tinted metal, applied by hand for the beauty of the relief.?»

Cosfibel organized to maintain its activities in France and abroad

In a press release dated March 19, Cosfibel stated that all of the group's divisions remain mobilized during the containment process, from design to product delivery.

"?Pour to deal with the situation, Cosfibel, has implemented the directives made to French companies, by promoting teleworking and organizing a rotation of reduced teams in the offices to ensure flows and protect people. The sales, purchasing, innovation-design, technical development, logistics and finance departments are in working order to meet customer expectations, in compliance with délais?" said the group.
