The manufacturer is expanding its portfolio of printing machines.

The Italian manufacturer of digital printing machines Durst now has a majority stake in the American group Vanguard Digital Printing Systems. The new company has been called Vanguard Durst Digital Printing Systems since 1 October 2020 and David Cich remains the CEO.

Vanguard Digital, based in Georgia, is a manufacturer of large format printing systems for the signage, decoration and packaging industries, including a range of UV led flatbed tables.

"Vanguard Digital Printing Systems is a fast-growing and very successful company in a market segment in which we are not currently active." said Tim Saur, President of Durst North America. In particular, he referred to Vanguard's range of flatbed tables (the Italian manufacturer only offers hybrid systems) and printers of different price and performance.

With this acquisition, Durst intends to continue to develop Vanguard systems and distribute these solutions through its international sales network.

"Despite the global pandemic, we are positioning ourselves for the long term and are determined to invest in the large-format market", was keen to highlight Christoph Gamper, CEO and co-owner of the Durst Group.
