Book channel: Clic.Edit users get together

Clic.Edit is a common language between the different actors of the book industry.

The Clic.Edit project, born in 2016 at the initiative of the Syndicat national de l'édition (SNE) and the Union nationale des industries de l'impression et de la communication (Uniic), is a common language between the different actors of the book industry, set up to standardise, secure and fluidise the exchange of computerised data between all the actors in the book production chain.

Put in production for 6 months, Clic.Edit gave place on Friday, January 8th to the first meeting of its "?Club Utilisateurs?". About thirty participants from the entire book chain (papermakers, printers, composers, publishers), and representing different functions (management, production, IT) discussed the installation of the language in their structures.

What were the main difficulties encountered by the business and informatiques? teams? What adaptations are necessary in the processes and organisation?? How to avoid certain pitfalls in the implementation of langage?? How to optimize the collaboration between customer and fournisseur?? These are the questions that the professionals have addressed, helped by the feedback and testimonials of three players who have generalized Clic.Edit in their company Hachette Livre, Normandie Roto and Stora Enso.

Also presented at this meeting was the new organisation in charge of the computer maintenance of the language, entrusted to Nord Compo. The association indicated that the User Club will henceforth meet every two months to exchange views. A version 1.2 of Clic.Edit is in preparation for deployment.
