The two companies have been working together for several years.

Crown Van Gelder's plant in receivership has found an investor and restarted its production, which had been shut down since the end of January. The Dutch paper manufacturer, which employs 250 people, took advantage of the Hunkeler Innovation Days to make this great news official.
"CVG is now in its best financial position since its inception 126 years ago." he explained, specifying that he had no debt and 30 million euros of equity.

The "principal partner" of the relaunch of the paper manufacturer for specific applications is the Californian group EPAC Technologies, which specializes in integrated supply chain management and automation solutions for publishers and book printers.

"Having EPAC as a partner is beyond what we could have dreamed of" said Jan Rops, CEO of Crown van Gelder in a statement. The two companies jointly developed CVG's flagship inkjet paper, Crown Letsgo, which was launched about five years ago, and have been working together ever since.

"EPAC has always advised us to sell our inkjet paper to everyone, including direct competitors, without asking for pennies or royalties. They know there is much more value in innovation and scaling up, than trying to keep things to themselves. This will change the industry in a great way for our customers." said Jan Rops, Director of CVG.

And in the next three months, CVG will launch innovations "that will change the world of inkjet, alternative fibers and specialty papers." he promises.
