Allimand emerges from the safeguard plan thanks to Arcole

After two years under a safeguard plan, Allimand has come to the end of this critical period in its history. With the support of Arcole, the Isère-based SME is relaunching its business and redefining its industrial and commercial strategy.

Allimand has returned to profitability. The French manufacturer specializing in production lines for paper, cardboard and fibrous materials has officially left the court-ordered safeguard plan announced in April 2023 by the Grenoble Commercial Court.

This marks the success of a turnaround plan led by the new management team under the impetus of the Arcole fund, which acquired a stake in the company in the summer of 2023. Patrick Gamet, appointed Managing Director of the company based in Rives, Isère, has carried out an internal restructuring program that includes reorganizing processes, relaunching sales and targeted investments, and introducing new management and IT tools "innovative initiatives".
Allimand maintains 160 jobs at its Isère site. The company still has a subsidiary in the United States and one in China, as well as a pilot line on the other side of the Atlantic.

Arcole, an asset management company approved by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), specializes in supporting French SMEs and ETIs facing growth challenges. Arcole's strategic support enabled the paper machine manufacturer to consolidate its cash position, while re-establishing relationships of trust with its customers and suppliers.

Alexandre Bachelier, Chairman of Allimand and co-founder of Arcole, is delighted with the result. In a joint press release with Patrick Gamet, he stresses the importance of maintaining the industrial know-how of the company founded in 1850. "This new chapter opens up great prospects for Allimand and its employees."
