Finishing equipment manufacturer A B Graphic International (ABG) strengthens its presence in Germany with the expansion of its Baesweiler site. The extension, which increases the total surface area from 2,300 to 4,400 m2, is designed to optimize production and reduce lead times.
A key site for the production of finishing equipment
The Baesweiler site, acquired by ABG in 2006, is a pillar of the Group's production. It manufactures equipment such as slitter rewinders (SRI3), brochure machines, FleyeVision inspection systems and specialized rewinders. The site expansion will enable the warehouse, workshop and paint booth to be grouped together in a new building, freeing up space for a demonstration center and optimized production areas.
Major order for 16 FleyeVision systems
The expansion of the site is in response to a significant increase in orders, particularly in the field of inspection systems for labels and packaging. ABG recently booked a major order for 16 FleyeVision integral print inspection systems.
With a doubled surface area, ABG anticipates a rationalization of its industrial processes. The new layout will facilitate production flows, helping to reduce lead times.
