Carton Ondulé de France has elected Dominique Lagarde as its new president. He succeeds Philippe Durand, who has headed the trade federation since 2020.
Dominique Lagarde has solid industrial experience acquired over more than 35 years in the sector. He spent most of his career with Smurfit Kappa, which became Smurfit Westrock following the merger of the two groups in 2024.
After holding various industrial and operational positions, he became Industrial Director of Smurfit Kappa in 2000. In 2006, he was promoted to General Manager of the Group.
Between 2016 and 2022, he headed the Cardboard Division of Smurfit Kappa France, with responsibility for the various subsidiaries in this business. From October 2022, he will head Smurfit Westrock's French industrial operations, a position he will hold until his retirement in June 2025.
Under this new presidency, Carton Ondulé de France intends to pursue the main projects undertaken in recent years: defending a stable and clear regulatory framework, promoting the environmental performance of corrugated board and speaking out for an industry that is high-performance, innovative and rooted in the regions.
Carton Ondulé de France emphasizes that, under the presidency of Philippe Durand, the industry has gained in institutional visibility and taken its positions into account in regulatory debates.
