A woman at the head of Finat, a first since its creation

Purgina's CEO takes the helm of the European label industry association after several years' involvement in its governing bodies.

On the occasion of the Finat European Label Forum 2026, held in Seville, Spain from May 27 to 29, the European label industry association, Finat, entrusted its presidency to Dana Kilárska, Managing Director of Slovak label manufacturer Purgina, who succeeds Philippe Voet at the head of the organization since 2021.

This appointment marks a first in the history of the trade association. Founded in 1958, the organization had never before been chaired by a woman. However, Dana Kilárska is no newcomer to Finat. The Slovakian has been involved in Finat's work for a number of years, having chaired the Young Managers Club, which has since become the Young Professionals Network.

Dana Kilárska brings 16 years' experience in printing and packaging. Her career path has led her to develop an international business while remaining deeply involved in the industry's professional networks.

The new chairman of Finat declares: "This role means so much to me, not because of the title, but because of the community behind it. Finat is made up of extraordinary people and leading them is a privilege."

Alongside him, Italian Vito Giurazza, Managing Director of the Tikedo label group, becomes Vice-Chairman. A Finat director since 2023, he has experience in corporate development, acquisitions and the transformation of industrial groups. Since 2019, he has steered the growth of Tikedo, which has become a European player present in several countries.

The Seville forum also saw two former presidents honored. Outgoing president Philippe Voet of Belgium, head of Etivoet, and Chris Ellison of the UK, head of OPM Labels & Packaging, were awarded honorary membership in recognition of their contribution to the association's development.
