Sylvain Merel Takes Over as CEO of Stratus Packaging in France
Stratus Packaging has appointed Sylvain Merel as managing director for France. He will oversee the French operations of the label and packaging manufacturer.
Sylvain Merel has more than 25 years of experience in industry, engineering, and business management. His new responsibilities will focus on coordination among the various French sites, industrial performance, and business development.
Stratus Packaging employs 520 people and generates 100 million euros in revenue through eight manufacturing facilities in France, two subsidiaries, and one production site in Switzerland.
A New Executive at the Helm of Koenig & Bauer's Sheetfed Business
On January 1, 2027, Christian Steinmaßl will take over as head of Koenig & Bauer?s Paper & Packaging Sheetfed Systems segment. He will succeed Markus Weiß, who has held the position since February 2025 and will leave the German manufacturer at the end of the year to pursue other professional opportunities.
A member of the group?s executive management team since December 2024, Christian Steinmaßl currently oversees several business areas, including Digital & Webfed, as well as procurement and the production network. His mission will be to continue the transformation program known as ?Impact? within this division, which focuses on sheetfed offset presses for commercial printing and packaging.
Ronald IJntema, Contiweb's New CEO
Contiweb, the Dutch manufacturer of drying and web-handling equipment for the printing industry, has appointed Ronald IJntema. On January 4, 2027, he will succeed Joost Smits as CEO.
With more than 25 years of experience in industrial equipment, Ronald IJntema previously held sales management positions at Van Halteren Technologies, a Dutch industrial group active in the defense, maritime, and energy sectors. He also served on its board of directors. He previously served as sales director at the Dieseko Group, a Dutch manufacturer of construction equipment, and spent more than 11 years at Vanderlande, a supplier of automated handling and sorting systems for logistics and airports.
The future leader will be responsible for developing applications in the packaging, processing, and nonwovens industries.
Screen Europe Appoints Daniyal Ahmed as Head of CTP Sales
Daniyal Ahmed has joined Screen Europe as CTP Sales and Network Development Manager: he will be responsible for CTP sales and the development of the distributor network through technical and software training for partners.
Daniyal Ahmed has extensive experience in telecommunications, networking, and the technology industry.
