After working for 20 years as an intaglio engraver at the Phil@poste stamp printing works in Boulazac, the artist Elsa Catelin with 260 stamps to her credit has been poached by the Banque de France printing works in Chamalières. Decline in graphic paper production in France
The latest figures from the French Union of Paper, Cardboard and Cellulose Industries (Copacel) show that graphic paper production fell by 37.4% in May and 35.1% in June. The decline was due to the drop in the volume of printed matter and the restructuring of plants in the sector. Packaging production, on the other hand, remained fairly stable: -0.6% in May and +1.2% in June.
