The Pergraphica range extended
Papermaker Mondi is expanding its range of Pergraphica premium uncoated fine paper with 31 new colours: bright, light and dark shades, as well as the latest Pergraphica Infinite Black. The manufacturer says these colours are ideal for luxury packaging for cosmetics, perfumes, wines, champagnes and spirits. Mondi presents these new shades through a print and digital campaign called "?Catching Feels?", developed in partnership with Adobe Stock.
A new grass-based paper
At the same time, Mondi also announces the launch of a new paper : IQ GRASS + PACKAGING. This is a paper for high-end packaging that uses fast-growing grass as a source of fiber. The paper consists of 30% grass fiber and 70% fiber from sustainable sources.
"?IQ GRASS + PACKAGING has a high tear strength compared to typical uncoated fine paper products, is optimised for flexo printing, is used for various types of packaging and has food safety certification for dry/non-dry food gras?", specifies the manufacturer.
This paper can be used, for example, for food shopping bags or for the linings of corrugated cardboard packaging.
Uncoated fine paper is one of the business units of the Mondi Group produced at six operating sites in Austria, Slovakia, Russia and South Africa. Specializing in paper and packaging, Mondi achieved sales of 7.2 billion euros in 2019.
