When a village in the Eure-et-Loir brings together schools of graphic arts professions

Grafipolis to the first edition of Chérizy Manga BD.

A manga and comic book festival organized in Chérizy will bring together schools and graphic arts training centres on the third weekend of October to promote their discipline to a young audience.

They met on the third weekend of October in Chérizy. In this small village of Eure-et-Loir will take place on October 17th and 18th the second edition of the Chérizy Manga + Comics festival where schools and apprenticeship centres for the graphic arts professions will promote their discipline to the young public. The success of the first edition, which attracted more than 2,500 visitors, prompted Gilles Mure-Ravaud, organizer of the show and president of GMI, to renew the event. This year, between 4,000 and 5,000 participants are expected to attend this free festival.

Grafipolis, the Brassart-Delcourt Academy, the Bureau des élèves d'Estienne, the Gobelins, Eurasiam, and the Asfored will be present to talk about their training through workshops, demonstrations, meetings and conferences. Students from these schools will be present.

The Festival will welcome about forty authors and cartoonists of manga and comics from major publishing houses, schools and the region. Numerous activities will take place during the fair, such as the screening of documentaries on Japan, the traditional Yosakoi dance and the printing and manufacture of Japanese stamps made in France in collaboration with Tullis Russell Coaters, a manufacturer of stamp paper.
