The Brodart Group takes over Criaud Etiquettes

The group, which now has seven sites, three of which specialize in labels, employs 275 people and has a turnover of 55.5 million euros.

A seventh site has been added to the Brodart Group. Based in Troyes in the Aube region of France, the family-owned group with 260 employees specializing in labels and flexible packaging signed the acquisition of Criaud Etiquettes in early March. Criaud Etiquettes, located near Nantes, is the group's seventh production site and the third dedicated to labels.

The company, which employs 15 people, has a turnover of 2.6 million euros by producing printed and neutral adhesive labels for various markets, including food.

"We learned that François Criaud, the manager of Criaud Etiquette, was retiring and was looking for a buyer. We met and liked each other! It is a company that runs well with a good team explains Sébastien Brodart, Deputy General Manager of the Brodart Group. Beyond that, from an industrial point of view, Criaud Etiquette is equipped with typography and produces quite technical labels, know-how that we did not have. It is also a region where we were absent on the label market and the synergies with our bagging customers (flexible) present in this area should be interesting."

With this change of ownership, David Louault, the former sales manager of Criaud Etiquette, becomes the plant manager.

Investments in this new site are planned in the medium term. "Group tools and methods will be deployed smoothly to standardize processes. But first, we will take the time to find out how the Criaud Etiquettes team works, and show how we operate. Then we will choose the best ways to do it."

The Brodart Group, which with this third site specialized in labels reaches a turnover of 55.5 million euros, intends to continue to develop on this market.
"We are also recruiting two sales representatives, and for a new position, a label sales manager who will manage the commercial side of the three label sites, Criaud Etiquettes, Imprimerie de la Halle and Brodart Illkirch (ex Siac) ". And this person in charge of label sales might have to manage another site in the coming months...
