17th company joins label and packaging manufacturer Asteria Group

Asteria Group now employs 850 people and has a turnover of 170 million euros.

The Belgian label and packaging group Asteria welcomes its 17th company and also its first English company with the manufacturer CS Labels. With a fully digital production site, CS Labels offers self-adhesive labels and printed flexible pouches. The company, which employs around 60 people, has a turnover of £8 million (around 9.5 million euros).

"CS will of course continue to operate with the same traditional family values, but with additional impact, support and resources from the group, said in a statement Simon Smith, CEO of the British company. Investments in technology, processes and people will continue to add undeniable value to the Asteria Group."

With this acquisition, Gullegem-based Asteria Group employs 850 people and has a turnover of 170 million euros, with its 17 factories located in Belgium, England, the Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Denmark and France (Stickem located in Saint-Jacques-sur-Darnétal in the Seine-Maritime region and Impackt in Hallennes-lez-Haubourdin in the Nord department).

Ives Declerck, the group's CEO, told the Belgian daily De Tijd that future acquisitions positioned in new markets should bring the turnover to 250 or 300 million euros. "We want to become a strong pan-European player, able to offer a wide range of packaging products for small and very large customers." added the leader.
