Covering : soon the 7th edition of the Wrap Day with AD Forme


The Wrap Day is the meeting place for professionals who are passionate about covering, organized by AD Forme. An event that meets more and more success every year and that will be for the first time open to the public.

Wrap Day: festive meetings and exchanges around the adhesive covering

This year, Wrap Day will take place over 3 days:

  • june 10 and 11, 2022: installation of adhesive films;
  • june 12: opening of the place to the public for the first time since its creation in 2012.

at the beginning, 20 people had answered present at the time of its first edition, then 30 the following year, etc. A success that has not been denied from year to year since between 50 to 70 mediapplicators are expected soon! The reception of curious visitors and wrapping enthusiasts also marks the great novelty of this 7th Wrap Day of European fame, with a friendly spirit.

A talent show more than a competition

6 Teams of 15 people, invited by AD Forme as sponsors and coming from France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain, will be distributed on the 1000 m2 dedicated to this exhibition located in the Sports Hall of Heyrieux.

The idea of setting up the Wrap Day was born after Benoît Jacquelin, applicator and trainer in adhesive application at AD Forme, participated in an international covering contest. The individual vision, linked to a spirit of competition resulting from this kind of event, gave him the desire to organize a meeting between professionals sharing a common goal : " the love of sharing and the gathering of passionate people. "

Staging on the theme of Art

Art (of all kinds) is the theme chosen for this 7th edition of Wrap Day. Each team is sponsored by a partner adhesive brand 3M, Avery Dennison and Arlon. She has 9 months to design the decor and printing of the original covering and a space of 36 m2 to promote her creation. Floors, walls, re-boards, giant screens, (...), the elements composing the staging are left free. If needed, the challengers can also print their projects on site, via AD Forme's printing partner, Euromedia.

On Wrap Day, " the main issue is to cover vehicles, but not only! There can be surprises, it's open! All ideas are good to take "says Benoît Jacquelin enthusiastically.

Wrapping, a technique specific to AD Forme

AD Forme has been delivering its mastery of covering since 1992, in the automotive sector, but also in the interior decoration sector. The company, located near Lyon (Heyrieux, 38), also offers training sessions in various fields of application.

Very involved in the world of covering, Benoît Jacquelin is a member of the jury of the current Global Car Wrapper Awards 2022 international covering competition. In exclusivity, he entrusts us with a precious wrapping advice (also applicable to the application of adhesive in general): " Beware of tension! This is one of the most common mistakes: stretching the adhesive too much during installation leads (more or less quickly) to an irreversible detachment of the material from its support. "
