This summer, the bottle of 1664 Blanc is decked out in the colors of Castelbajac

Brasseries Kronenbourg collaborated with Jean-Charles de Castelbajac to transform the brand's historic bottle into an iconic pop object.

In early June, Brasseries Kronenbourg's famous white beer bottles will be decked out in the colors so dear to designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, for a limited summer edition available in supermarkets and hypermarkets.

The 1664 Blanc features a unique bottle color, cobalt blue? and an iconic logo identifiable at a glance: four blue numerals in a white oval adorned with two crossed red ribbons and a white and gold coat of arms. In collaborating on this limited edition, the artist has succeeded in blending his pop universe with the brand's strong graphic codes and playing on his four signature colors.

Red, yellow, green and blue are found in the ribbons adorning the white oval of the logo, and in the multicolored clouds on the bottom of the collar. A stylized monochrome sun rests on the clouds.

"My aim was to transform this historic bottle into an iconic object. That's how the idea of a multicolored sky came to me. I wanted these clouds to be like fragments of summer, with a sun shining on them. There's character in every color, and I brought them together to form a pop camouflage" says Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in a press release

To reinforce this ultra-vitamin look, the bottles are topped with red, blue, green or yellow caps.

The artist has also added his own touch to the 1664 brand signature A la French . The signature appeared in the April 2023 campaign to promote French know-how and the product's origin, and for this limited edition of the white beer is embellished with the word " touch" and becomes " To the French touch!" .

The universe created by the artist can also be found in two objects that are inseparable from beer consumption in bars and restaurants: the balloon glass and the ceramic coaster created for this summer edition.
