New French Director at International Paper

Hakim Serhir, director of International Paper's three Normandy mills, has been promoted to director of International Paper's French operations.

American paper and board packaging manufacturer International Paper has appointed Hakim Serhir as general manager of the group's French operations, which are dedicated to the production of industrial and food packaging in paperboard.

Together with a team of plant managers and support function managers, Hakim Serhir will be responsible for the further development of corrugated packaging production at International Paper's five plants in France.

Hakim Serhir joined the group 13 years ago. Before this appointment, he was director of the three Normandy mills of International Paper, located in Saint-Amand in the Manche, Cabourg in the Calvados and Saint-Langis-Lès-Mortagne in the Orne.

The satisfaction of our customers requires a permanent search for innovation in the products and services that we design and manufacture, in order to offer more and more solutions with high added value. International Paper, based in Memphis, Tennessee, employs 38,000 people. In France, the company has 750 employees and operates five corrugated packaging plants, including, in addition to the three sites in Normandy, Papeteries d'Espaly in Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, and Emballages Laurent in Chalon-sur-Saône, Saône-et-Loire.
