Lessebo Paper standardizes its paper presentations with Paper Profile

The Swedish paper manufacturer is thus standardizing the environmental declarations of its products with the other major paper manufacturers.

After Arctic Paper, Arjowiggins, Billerudkorsnäs, Burgo Group, Papeteries de Clairefontaine, UPM-Kymmene and many others, Swedish uncoated paper manufacturer Lessebo Paper joins the Paper Profile signatories. Paper Profile members are committed to adopting a standardized declaration of environmental information for paper products.

Developed by the major European pulp, paper and board manufacturers in collaboration with distributors and industry associations, this declaration allows for the international standardization of essential information on paper products concerning their composition, the main environmental parameters related to their manufacture, the environmental management of the production site and the method of wood supply.

In addition, Paper Profile's member paper and board producers are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of their operations, including improvements in the manufacturing process, as well as better control of air and water emissions.
"Joining Paper Profile reinforces Lessebo Paper's commitment to reducing the mill's negative environmental impact." confirms the Swedish paper manufacturer.
In 2021, the manufacturer received the Cradle to Cradle Certificate Gold for its white paper lines, and was the first paper mill in the world to receive a Gold level certificate .
