For the first time in France, Zünd presented its PortaTable 130 robotic system "which can be adapted to any production".

At the C!Print trade show in Lyon, visitors to the Zund France booth were able to see two of the Swiss manufacturer's cutting tables in action, and above all, the exclusive PortaTable robotic system.

The portaTable robot for 24-hour production

Zünd presented the PortaTable robot with the S3 L1200 cutting machine equipped with an automatic sheet feeder. The latest innovation from the manufacturer is the PortaTable 130 system, which consists of a mobile unloading table for up to ten trays and a UR10 robot arm.
The Pick & Place interface on the cutting table allows the robot to be controlled via preparation software such as Prime Center. As soon as it is connected and production starts, the robot's arm, with a reach of 1.30 m, automatically picks, sorts and places the cut parts in the bins.

No human intervention is required, "which means that this operation can be launched during the company's closing hours" assures the manufacturer.

"At Zünd, robots are not new in themselves, but until now they only knew how to perform the same repetitive operations between each conveyor feed. On the other hand, the PortaTable 130 system is a real robotic solution that can be adapted to any production, even if it is different for each cycle. It is totally innovative and is more in line with the logic of customization brought about by digital technology says Benjamin Launay, sales director of Zund France.
