Fujifilm kept up the suspenseâeuros! Visit japanese manufacturer unveiled its February 12-15 event that its first non-Japanese customer for the Jetpress FP790 press was British. But the identity of this customer remained a secret. Until now. Fujfilm announces that it is Eco Flexibles. Based in Northampton, UK, Eco Flexibles has confirmed its investment in Fujifilm's first digital press for flexible packaging, following a successful beta test.
Eco Flexibles develops flexible packaging solutions in recyclable monopolymer and paper to replace multi-material solutions containing plastic.
The Jet Press FP790, with a web width of 790 mm, prints on both film and paper.
It reproduces over 90% of Pantone colors without direct-tone inks, with a resolution of 1,200 dpi x 1,200 dpi.

"Unlike conventional digital presses that use electrographic toners and inks, the Jet Press FP790 employs water-based inks to ensure superior performance while reducing its carbon footprint. Fujifilm is hosting a packaging open house at Eco Flexibles on February 14 and 15, 2024. The event will showcase Fujifilm's full range of digital and analog solutions, and guests will be able to see the Jet Press FP790 in action for the first time.
