Mimaki at Fespa 2024: launch of the JFX600-2531 printer and CFX-2531 cutting plotter

JFX600-2531 from Mimaki

The JFX600-2531 printer and CFX-2531 cutting plotter open up new possibilities in the creation of architectural and signage media, according to Mimaki.

Mimaki launches a UV printing and cutting solution, comprising two new pieces of equipment: the JFX600-2531 large-format flatbed printer and the CFX-2531 flatbed cutting plotter. Both machines will be presented for the first time at Fespa 2024 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (March 19-22).

Enlarged tray for JFX600-2531 printer

The JFX600-2531 led-UV flatbed printer is the big sister of the JFX600-2513 model launched in 2021, featuring a 3.1-meter-long printing table (compared with 2.5 meters for the JFX600-2513). It offers the same level of productivity and maximum resolution of 1,200 DPI.

This printing plate enlarges "opens up new possibilities for print professionals, particularly for architectural applications" emphasizes the supplier of industrial inkjet printers, cutting plotters and 3D printers.
For example, they can print directly onto glass or plywood architectural supports, which have a standard size of 3 meters.
What's more, direct printing preserves the texture of the substrate in non-inked areas.

Like the JFX600-2513, this machine is capable of producing 2.5D prints, i.e. textures on the print surface, adding an extra visual and tactile effect.

The JFX600-2531 also features Toggle Print. This function enables printing either at the front or rear of the table. By defining the print origin, this frees up areas where manual intervention - such as replacing, positioning or cleaning the substrate surface - is required, while the printer prints on the other side.

The CFX-2531 flatbed plotter and its four tools for the production of various applications

Mimaki's flatbed cutting plotter, the CFX-2531, will complement the JFX600-2513. The CFX-2531 is a high-end, large-format solution, measuring 3190 mm x 2540 mm, which can operate continuously or intermittently at the front and rear of the table.

The CFX-2531 supports a wide range of materials for signage applications, including adhesives, paper and corrugated board.
The cutting plotter can be equipped with up to four tool types simultaneously, reducing tool changeover and set-up times.
It is capable of making V-shaped cuts and features a table flatness control function.

At Fespa, Mimaki will unveil further technical details on these two new printing and cutting machines.
