Almost all employees laid off at Paragon Marketing Direct ex-imprimerie D'Haussy

The Paragon printing plant in Linselles is planning to cut 63 of its 67 jobs, with a complete shutdown of industrial activity scheduled for early January. Some forty employees have been on strike since October 28 to protest against the proposed conditions of departure.

Paragon Direct Marketing, based in Linselles in the Nord region of France, is due to cease operations on January 2, 2026. Management has presented a job-saving plan (PSE) involving 63 job cuts out of the 67 positions at the printing plant, according to La Voix du Nord . Around forty employees have been on strike since Tuesday October 28 to protest against the redundancies. They have set up a checkpoint at the entrance to the site in order to put pressure on the head office, located in Dublin, reports France 3 Régions . Only four positions, all of them managerial, are to be retained at the site, in particular to set up a sales unit.

Founded in 1996 under the name D'Haussy, the printing works employed 240 people in the early 2000s. The company went into receivership in 2016, before being taken over by the Paragon group the same year . A previous redundancy plan had already been carried out in 2021, with the elimination of 30 positions.

A meeting between staff representatives and management took place on Thursday morning. It led to a change in compensation, but the demand for a supra-legal bonus per year of seniority was not met, according to the company France 3 Régions .

Strikers have announced that they will continue to cordon off trucks and access to the site over the weekend of November 1.
