From May 19 to 22 in Spain, Fespa will be staging the first edition of Corrugated, to be held at the same time as the major Fespa Global Print Expo trade show dedicated to large-format digital printing, screen printing','www.printindustry.news/search/serigraphy');" class="lien-auto-article" href="https://www.printindustry.news/search/serigraphy">screen printing, signage and textile printing. Held in Hall 3 of the Barcelona exhibition center, the event includes conferences dedicated to corrugated board applications.

This freely accessible program is aimed at converters, printers and contractors faced with rapidly changing technologies and production constraints.

The first day will focus on the digital transition of production lines. A round-table discussion will bring together suppliers of printing technologies and equipment, including HP, EFI, Koenig & Bauer and Kento, to discuss changes in processes and industrial models.

The issue of industrial cybersecurity will also be on the agenda. US cybersecurity company OPSWAT, via its OT product manager, will detail the growing risks to connected systems and their impact on production continuity and supply chains.

With Christian Vionnet, Product Marketing Manager, Swiss packaging machinery manufacturer Bobst will be holding a conference on the dynamics of e-commerce and its effects on demand for corrugated packaging, with a review of volumes and market assumptions.

The second day will focus on workflow organization and automation. Packitoo, a French publisher of software solutions for the packaging industry, will be presenting uses of artificial intelligence (AI) applied to product configuration, costing and quotation editing.

The Gran Via Brewery and Kento will take part in a case study comparing analog, digital and hybrid technologies in packaging design and production, to measure operational gains in different industrial configurations.

Human resources issues will round off the day. The Young People In Print (YPIP) organization will address the difficulties of renewing skills in a sector faced with an aging workforce.

Cutting equipment manufacturer Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems will link these developments to the concrete needs of workshops, particularly in terms of flexibility and flow integration.

The final sessions will deal with regulatory and environmental constraints. Consultant Tunley Environmental will analyze requirements linked to the circular economy and ESRS standards, particularly for inks, varnishes and coatings.

Consumables manufacturer Flint Group will detail the evolution of regulatory frameworks applied to raw materials and the implications for formulations.

Finally, NOA, a group specialized in research and analysis of the paper packaging industry, will present the outlook for the European corrugated board market, focusing on fibrous materials and industrial solutions compatible with recyclability and performance requirements.
