MGI Digital Technology confirms its presence on the Benelux market at the Benelux Online Print Event (BOPE), organized on April 22 in Ghent by the VIGC, an innovation center dedicated to the graphic arts industry in the region.
The Fresnes-based French manufacturer specializing in digital finishing is taking part in this event as a member and partner of the VIGC. This major event brings together printers, web-to-print platforms and suppliers to discuss production developments, including automation and personalization.
MGI Digital Technology's participation reflects its active presence in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The manufacturer of digital finishing presses relies on the VIGC network to support printers in the evolution of their production workflows.
BOPE is a meeting point for inline printers faced with fragmented order volumes and tight deadlines. In this context, digital finishing technologies find their place on highly variable production runs.
Digital finishing processes for web-to-print
The systems developed by MGI are based on inkjet application of 2D and 3D selective varnish and hot foil stamping, also in 2D and 3D. This digital process eliminates the need for screens and plates used in traditional finishing.
This approach makes it possible to handle short and medium runs, with or without variable data, while reducing preparation steps. It responds to the constraints of web-to-print environments, where personalization and responsiveness are paramount.
The French manufacturer's digital presses are designed to operate in automated workflows. They connect to MIS systems and workflow tools to ensure continuity between online ordering and production.
They are also equipped with artificial intelligence functions for print registration and control. These tools help to reduce waste and stabilize quality. Predictive maintenance functions complete the package, with the aim of ensuring equipment availability in continuous production environments.
