Part of the former Manroland site in Offenbach has been leased out

Half of the former Manroland production site in Offenbach, Germany, is set to resume industrial operations. German giant Siemens has signed a long-term lease covering nearly half of the buildings at this former sheetfed offset press factory.

The site, owned by the British group and parent company of Manroland Langley Holdings, will house production of equipment for data centers. Siemens plans to create several hundred jobs there as part of a 300 million euro investment in Germany aimed at meeting the demand driven by the development of artificial intelligence.

According to Langley Holdings, the number of jobs created could offset?or even exceed?those lost during Manroland's restructuring.

Tecnau certifies its finishing solution with the HP PageWide A2200

Tecnau, an Italian manufacturer of digital printing finishing solutions, has obtained certification for its Revolution 50 AutoSetup solution for inline integration with the HP PageWide Web Press A2200.
The certification was completed in June at the HP Graphics Experience Center in Barcelona. It confirms that the finishing line is compatible with HP's rotary inkjet press.

The solution automates job changes without interrupting production and reduces paper waste between jobs. It is designed to handle a variety of applications, from transactional documents to checkbooks, brochures, flyers, and prints on thick substrates.

The launch of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for commercial packaging has been postponed

The launch of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program for commercial packaging, originally scheduled for July 1, 2026, has been postponed to a date that has not yet been announced.

The announcement was made a few days before the regulation took effect by Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister of Commerce, Crafts, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the Social and Solidarity Economy. Ultimately, this system is intended to cover all commercial packaging placed on the market.

Fibre Excellence: Court Postpones Review of Takeover Bid

The Toulouse Commercial Court has postponed until July 27 its review of the bid to acquire the operations of Fibre Excellence, a French producer of market pulp.

In a press release, management stated that it had provided all necessary information to the potential buyer?namely, financier and investment banker Matthieu Pigasse?and clarified that this timeframe should allow him to finalize his business plan, particularly by continuing his discussions with the government before submitting a binding offer.

Fibre Excellence employs nearly 700 people at its sites in Tarascon, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, and in Saint-Gaudens, in the Haute-Garonne department.

Posson Packaging is building housing for its work-study students and employees

Posson Packaging, a packaging manufacturer based in Louailles in the Sarthe department, has renovated six apartments near the Sablé-sur-Sarthe train station to house its work-study students, interns, and, on an occasional basis, employees facing personal difficulties.

According to Actu.fr , two studios have been occupied since April, and the other four were completed in late June. Led by CEO Sylvie Casenave-Péré, this project aims to address the housing challenges in the region and enhance the company?s appeal.

The GMI is inviting industry representatives to a meeting on December 3 in Paris

The Association of the Printing and Communications Industries (GMI) is holding its annual conference on December 3, 2026, at L'Apostrophe in Paris's 16th arrondissement.

The event will bring together printers, suppliers, partners, and experts to discuss the industry?s challenges. The program includes presentations on industry trends, opportunities for professionals to network, and an intergenerational gathering featuring students enrolled in printing-related programs.

Roland DG Launches a UV Ink for Industrial Applications

Roland DG is launching EUV-H, a new UV-curable ink designed for industrial and commercial applications.

Compatible with existing MO printers as well as the upcoming RC-300 and IO-300 models, this ink is designed to improve the scratch, chemical, and weather resistance of prints. A new primer ink is also intended to improve adhesion on substrates such as plastic, glass, or metal.

The Japanese manufacturer also notes that EUV-H contains no nickel or substances classified as SVHCs or CMRs, and that it reduces the odors typically associated with UV inks.
