The German manufacturer Kama, which specializes in cutting and finishing equipment for the printing and packaging industries, is going through a difficult period. The manufacturer has been under provisional insolvency proceedings since September 25, 2026. According to the German trade press, a search for investors has been launched to find a solution for the future of the company, which employs 110 people.
The specific causes of the manufacturer's financial difficulties have not been made public.
Despite this situation, Kama continues its manufacturing operations at its Dresden facility.
The German manufacturer claims to have installed more than 800 systems in 80 countries. Founded in 1894, Kama has a long history of manufacturing machinery for the graphic arts industry. In particular, the manufacturer develops the ProCut line, which consists of cutting and finishing tables capable of performing embossing and hot foil stamping operations. Its product catalog also includes the FlexFold and ProFold folding and gluing machines, designed, among other things, for the production of folding cartons.
Kama has positioned itself specifically in the small- and medium-run market, as well as in the finishing of digital print jobs, with equipment designed to facilitate production changeovers.
At the request of Graphiline , Kama's management did not respond to our requests for information.
