Bobst proposes a new solvent-free laminating machine, the Nova SX 550 Laminator. The Nova SX 550 Laminator is a compact and modular machine designed for all production lengths and many types of substrates and adhesives. It is ideal for "for transformers who need real flexibility in order to be able to respond, in a timely and qualitative manner, to the current demands of countless and varied applications." of the packaging, according to the Swiss manufacturer.
The new laminator can be configured with either transfer sleeves or monolithic/integral rolls. It is compatible with the majority of existing roll types.
The Nova SX 550 Laminator handles standard substrate widths - 1000, 1300 and 1500 mm - (other widths available as options) and is compatible with a wide range of substrates and thicknesses, such as thin aluminium foil, metallized film or stretch substrates. Its laminating speed is up to 450 m/min.
One week for installation and 90 seconds to change a roll
The machine does not require reinforced foundations in the workshop and its Plug & Play installation requires no prerequisites: from delivery of the machine to its production start-up, Bobst announces only one week's lead time on average.
And when it comes to timing, the Swiss manufacturer announces: 15 minutes for a complete job change without the need for tools, 90 seconds for a transfer roll change and 5 minutes to complete an automatic wash cycle.
Four NOVA SX 550 machines have already been sold, in Italy, the Middle East, Asia and the United States.
