Getty Images Grants for Creators Around the World

Ten fellowships of $2,000 will be awarded to creators from around the world

Like the publisher of Affinity's graphic design software the platform for buying and selling photos, illustrations and videos, Getty Images is launching a grant to financially support creators around the world during this time of health and economic crisis. The program, called Creatives in Quarantine, consists of 10 grants of 2?000 dollars (about 1840 euros).

"In these times of uncertainty, creation becomes even more important, as a source of income, to reduce stress or simply as a means of expression." says Guy Merrill, Global Art Director at Getty Images. "Whatever the objective, level of experience, format chosen or creative field, we welcome all applications to celebrate artistic expression and support all creators in these difficult times".

In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates have until Monday, June 8, at 6:00 a.m. (Paris time) to send in their creations as well as a biography and sources of inspiration.

The applications will be evaluated by a jury composed of communication and visual arts professionals.

In addition to the $2,000 grant, winners will have the opportunity to sign a contributor contract on the Getty Images and iStock sites, with a 100% royalty rate.

This creative grant is part of the larger grant program of the American platform: in 15 years, Getty Images has dedicated $1.7 million to photographers and videographers from around the world.
