The group of six sites remains in the green despite the decline in magazines.

With a turnover of 130 million euros, the Maury Imprimeur group based in Malesherbes in the Loiret region of France has achieved a year 2019 "average" .

"The group's net result in 2019 is there, but less brilliant than usual", notes in a press release Jean-Paul Maury, the CEO of the group of six sites and a thousand employees. "It's a very average year and not an easy one." he confirms. This is mainly due to the prices "that have become abnormal, given the destructive abnormal competition of values." .

In the magazine sector, the year was a busy one "very difficult" . "Major titles have changed ownership, creating challenges on some titles, with changes in frequency of publication, pagination and circulation figures, even halts in titles."

However, even if it did not "offset the existing erosion across the entire securities portfolio." the group can be pleased to see the arrival at the end of the year of new headlines, such as the weeklies Télé Star Belgium , Current Values and The Cross as well as various youth titles.

On the book production side, the results are "very correct thanks to a very good charge" .

"The technical documentation has perfectly complemented our activities with the arrival of major works."

Despite this year "Very average." Jean-Paul Maury guarantees: "Our faith in this profession is intact. We've invested another 5 million euros over 2019, including a new 5-gang roto with an economic cut that will be very useful to publishers."
