The American giant Sonoco, founded in South Carolina in 1899 and specializing in the manufacture of packaging, is today a global company with sales in the billions of dollars. 41.7 million, the group intends to strengthen its position in the canister market with this acquisition.
Created in 1989 by Georges Sireix, Can Packaging employs about sixty people for a turnover that should exceed 20 million euros in 2020. Its cardboard packaging for major brands in the food industry is distributed throughout Europe.
Sonoco has indicated that Georges Sireix the founder of the company will remain a consultant for the group, and that his son Guillaume Sireix will remain as the innovation leader of the European product division.
