A collection of new boxes to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Lefranc Bourgeois

Lefranc Bourgeois collector's box sets

The Lefranc Bourgeois brand of fine arts products was founded in Paris in 1720.

The English agency Lewis Moberly designed and packaged a collection of collector's boxes to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Lefranc Bourgeois fine arts brand. "?Pour celebrating 300 years of Lefranc Bourgeois, we searched their archives. By cropping and superimposing vintage elements with bright colours on four models of gift boxes, the specific quality of each medium was highlighted. Opaque gouache, translucent oil, vibrant acrylic and ink intense? "says Lewis Moberly.

The range of products for children (paint tubes, thick gouache, pavement chalk, glitter gel, etc.) also benefited in 2018 from a makeover by Lewis Moberly. The project consisted in aligning the children's range with the identity and packaging of the Lefranc Bourgeois parent brand, which had undergone a makeover in 2017. To bring a creative and educational touch to this new design, Lewis Moberly had fun creating Elbé, the brand's character. A budding artist, adorable but mischievous, Elbé is the chief ambassador of Lefranc Bourgeois Kids. He brings life to the brand and the packaging through his interaction with the products.

Located in Le Mans, the Lefranc Bourgeois factory belongs to the Colart group, which owns several fine art brands. Like all companies, the factory was severely disrupted by the health crisis and was shut down for several weeks during the first containment. According to Challenges magazine, Lefranc Bourgeois achieved a turnover of 15% of the Colart group's 200 million euros in 2019.
