Adhesive labeling materials giant Avery Dennison today announced that it has acquired Ohio-based ACPO, an American company, for $87.6 million.
ACPO manufactures polyester and polypropylene substrates and laminating films with various properties for the self-adhesive label and flexible packaging industries. The group has approximately 170 employees and generates sales of approximately $60 million.
This acquisition includes the majority of ACPO's assets, including the coating, slitting and distribution operations located at its headquarters and three finishing and distribution sites in Georgia, Wisconsin and Washington State.
"Our acquisition of ACPO will further strengthen our leadership in the core segments of labelling materials, says Avery Dennison CEO Mitch Butier in a statement. By adding ACPO's complementary lamination lines, we are expanding our product portfolio and bringing even more value to our customers."
Avery Dennison plans to expand the marketing of ACPO products worldwide.
