30% more sales with the Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic from Koenig & Bauer Durst

Corrugated packaging manufacturer Rondo Ganahl announces a dramatic increase in sales since its investment in the corrugated production press.

Corrugated packaging manufacturer Rondo Ganahl is building a new production plant to meet growing demand. It announces a spectacular increase in sales since its investment in the Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic corrugated board production press from Koenig & Bauer Durst.

The Delta SPC 130 FlexLine Automatic has been designed to handle small formats from 500 x 600 mm up to very large formats (1?300 x 2?800 mm) and to print a maximum thickness of 12 mm with water-based, food-compatible inks. It is equipped with a non-stop feeder, four-colour printing in a single pass, a drying and cooling section and a non-stop stacker. With reduced lead times, Rondo says there is enormous potential in technology where excellent print quality matches litho production.

The new Rondo plant is scheduled to come on stream in Austria in the autumn of 2021. The group, which has six factories across Europe, started digital production two years ago. About 90 per cent of Rondo's digital printing business is for the food industry.

"?Nous have traditionally come from flexo and offset printing and have wanted to switch to digital production for a long time. Two years ago we decided to take action and we are very happy to have done so. The production of digital corrugated board is increasing every year by 25 to 30 percent and customers are placing repeat orders, which is very important?" said Karl Pucher, CEO of Rondo Ganahl.
