Durst and Aleph give birth to Durst Como. The first system resulting from this alliance will be presented at Fespa 2025.

Durst steps up a gear in the textile sector. The Italian group known for its digital printing solutions has formalized the creation of Durst Como, a new entity in the textile sector born of the merger with its colleague Aleph . The operation, which began in 2023, is entering its final phase, with legal integration expected by the end of 2025.

Based in Como, Italy, a city historically linked to the textile industry, Durst Como aims to be an innovation hub dedicated to digital textile production. The new facility draws on the technological heritage of Aleph, known for its Laforte printers, and the industrial architecture of Durst.
By structuring its activities in this way, the Group aims to consolidate its presence in the graphic textile, decoration and textile communication segments, driven by growing demand.

Durst Como's first launch at Fespa with the LF Graphics series

The first fruit of this merger will be visible at Fespa 2025, held this year from May 6 to 9 in Berlin, Germany. Durst will be presenting the LF Graphics series, an evolution of the Aleph Laforte platform adapted to graphic applications on flexible substrates. These water-based systems cover both sublimation on paper and direct printing on polyester.

The flagship model announced, the LF 430 GF, features an adhesive tape drive system for fabric, as well as a vacuum belt for paper, a patented technology developed by Aleph. The whole system is designed to guarantee precise alignment and stability of supports, critical criteria for the event signage and interior textile markets.

Durst at the helm of technology strategy

Product management will be centralized under the responsibility of Andrea Riccardi, head of product management graphics & textile at Durst, who will be in charge of integrating technologies from the two entities and defining a clear strategic direction.

Durst Como's governance will also include Roberto Frigerio, Aleph's Managing Director, who will be responsible for operational management as Managing Director. Alessandro Manes, Aleph's CEO and co-founder, will be in charge of global sales (director global sales industrial textile), and Roberto Manes, Aleph's technical director and co-founder, will be in charge of textile R&D (director development textile).
