Mutoh launches an 8-color printer, the XpertJet 1681SR Pro

The XpertJet 1681 SR Pro roll-to-roll machine is an eco-solvent printer designed for enhanced reproduction of vivid colors and gradations.

Mutoh launches the XpertJet 1681 SR Pro, a 1,625 mm (64") eco-solvent roll-to-roll printer. This new model for machine signage, decoration and vehicle wrapping works with the MS51 ink set in an eight-color configuration: CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, orange and red.

The XpertJet 1681 SR Pro printer features an AccuFine HD Pro piezo printhead. This single-head system features 3,200 nozzles in eight channels, designed to ensure precise drop placement and detailed image reproduction. Mutoh combines it with its i-Screen EX technology to improve gradation and flatness consistency on long runs.

"The addition of orange and red enhances the expression of warm colors and the reproduction of reds, enabling a more faithful rendition of brand colors and graphics with high visual impact. The clear inks also contribute to more refined tonal transitions with reduced grain - particularly suited to retail applications, high-end signage as well as vehicle and fleet wraps." assures the Japanese manufacturer.

Designed for indoor and outdoor applications, MS51 inks boast several certifications linked to low emissions of volatile organic compounds, including UL Greenguard Gold, AgBB in Germany, A+ in France, Belgium VOC and M1 in Finland. And the inks are formulated without GBL and CLP/GHS hazard pictograms.

XpertJet reaches up to 17 m 2 /h. The machine incorporates a three-zone heating system and a flat front dryer to stabilize drying. It also includes several automation functions.
