Epson presents the SC-V4000, a new 10-color UV flatbed printer in A1+ format. This machine, which will be available from this summer, completes a range that already includes the SC-V1000 and SC-V7000 models.
The compact SC-V4000 is ideal for workshops producing personalized objects, graphic reproductions, photography or signage.
According to Epson, this flatbed's 10-color configuration (CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, gray, red, white and varnish) improves gradation and extends the colorimetric range.
The printer is based on three PrecisionCore heads, each with 400 nozzles per row, for 300 dpi printing and simultaneous deposition of several layers of ink, including white, color and varnish. The machine can even reproduce text up to two points.
The A1+ table can print two A2 formats simultaneously, as well as objects or substrates up to 200 mm thick. It can also be used to print on transfer film for application to curved surfaces.
Daily maintenance is carried out from the front of the machine. Users can access nozzle control, consumable replacement and gantry management.
The SC-V4000 also incorporates an automatic media height sensor and a collision detection system designed to limit production stoppages.
