680 m 2 /h, 3.30 m wide, and the ability to gradually automate production: Agfa has significantly redesigned its Jeti Tauro H3300 HS. This 3.30-meter-wide hybrid UV LED inkjet press, designed for signage, displays, and certain packaging applications, is now the new entry-level model in the Tauro H3300 family.
The Jeti Tauro H3300 HS is equipped with 48 Ricoh MH5420 piezoelectric printheads arranged in six rows and prints at up to 1,200 DPI. Most notably, Agfa has incorporated several technical features already used on the Tauro UHS (which reaches 905 m 2 /h) and XUHS (1,280 m 2 /h).
The Jeti Tauro H3300 HS in 4 or 7 colors
Two configurations are available: seven-color or dual CMYK. The seven-color version features a fully symmetrical print head, based on the design used in the Jeti Tauro UHS and XUHS models. White, a primer, or varnish can also be added to the ink configurations.
In terms of formats, the base unit accommodates plates up to 3.34 m wide and 5 cm thick. With the Flex and Master roll-to-roll systems, the H3300 HS can print a single roll up to 3.30 m wide or two 1.60 m-wide rolls simultaneously.
Agfa has also refined a few very practical details for operators. The media guidance system has been redesigned to make loading easier. A second screen allows the press to be operated from both the front and the rear.
Up to 150 loads per hour with robots
Another advantage of this new H3300 HS is that it can be equipped with automation systems from the Tauro family, which can be scaled to meet changing production needs.
The Max Feeder & Stacker Pro achieves 80 loading cycles per hour with rigid media and sheets up to 2.65 x 3.30 m. With the Max Bots, two robots can handle feeding and stacking at up to 150 cycles per hour.
The press is also connected so that Agfa technicians can perform remote diagnostics.
The first Jeti Tauro H3300 HS press has already been ordered
The first H3300 HS has already found a buyer in Canada. The first unit was ordered by Protagon Display Inc., a Canadian manufacturer specializing in retail displays. "We chose the Jeti Tauro H3300 HS because we needed more agility, consistency, and control." , explains Victor Amarosi, president of Protagon Display Inc.
