Mimaki Europe is launching four new printing systems designed for the visual communications, industrial printing, and textile decoration markets. The Japanese manufacturer is adding to its product lineup the JFX220-2515 ultra-wide-format LED UV flatbed printer, the two small UV flatbed printers, the UJF200-3042 and UJF200-6042, as well as the TxF330-800 for direct-to-film (DTF) textile printing.
A JFX220 for signs with fluorescent lighting
As the successor to the JFX200 series, the JFX220-2515 features a printable area of 2,500 x 1,500 mm, a size specifically chosen to accommodate the panel formats commonly used in Europe. This flatbed printer accepts media up to 101.6 mm thick and also supports printing with pink and yellow fluorescent inks.
The four-head configuration enables dual CMYK printing, with a claimed speed of up to 42 m 2 /h. LD4 mode allows printing with a distance of up to 20 mm between the print bed and the print head, while the 2.5D Texture Maker feature is used, among other things, to create raised patterns and Braille.
Mimaki has worked on the positioning and preparation processes. Anchor technology applies vacuum only to the area where the media is positioned, without the need for masking or manual vacuum adjustment. Automatic positioning pins complete the system.
Two new UJF200 compact UV printers
The UJF200 series includes two sizes: the UJF200-3042 (300 x 420, equivalent to A3) and the UJF200-6042 (610 x 420, equivalent to A2). These UV printers can print directly onto objects up to 250 mm tall and weighing up to 20 kg, such as carry-on luggage or computer cases.
An optional camera system detects the position of objects and automatically aligns the print files. The UJF200-6042 can also be equipped with a conveyor belt to integrate it into an automated production line.
These three new UV printers will work with RasterLink8. This latest version of Mimaki?s RIP notably adds job management and automatic camera alignment features. The software will also support workflows using the new fluorescent inks and will remain compatible with the models currently supported by RasterLink7.
A TxF330-800 for extended DTF production runs
At the same time, Mimaki is expanding its DTF product line with the TxF330-800, designed for textile decoration. The system features automated maintenance functions and 16 ink cartridges, with increased capacity for white ink. Two new colors, Sky Blue and Pale Pink, also expand the available color palette.
