An exceptional large-format rotary press is looking for a second life in a museum or other heritage organization.

The announcement was posted on the website of the Association of European Printing Museums (AEPM). The organization explains that it has been contacted by a correspondent who is offering a large-format Winkler newspaper press to a museum or for other heritage purposes.

Historical interest

The association said in its announcement that the press once belonged to one of Iran's leading news papers.

"?La press, which was originally imported into Iran and operated by our correspondent's grandfather, may be of particular historical interest because it was used to print one of the country's first news (as opposed to opinion) newspapers. The company that operated it has since abandoned newspaper printing and turned to plastics processing, but the machine is still proudly installed in a corner (a very large corner) of its factory.?»

The correspondent offers those interested in this unique large-format rotary press a virtual tour via an application. The press is currently in Iran. For more information, please contact the Association of Printing Museums of Europe directly.
