Film manufacturer Hexis dresses Renault's Alpine F1 cars

The French film manufacturer will continue to dress the racing cars of the carmaker with the diamond.

Hexis has signed an extension to its partnership with Renault's Formula 1 team, Alpine F1 Team. The French adhesive film manufacturer will provide the new Alpine F1 Team's new graphic design vinyl materials at the circuits and at the racing team's headquarters.

"The Hexis Group is very proud to continue its partnership with the Alpine F1 Team for the second consecutive time, said Clément Mateu, General Manager of the Hexis Group. It is a great satisfaction to see the synergies of the French industry united under the same banner and around common values such as excellence, passion and performance. Formula 1 remains a fabulous laboratory for testing and developing new technologies."

In concrete terms, the entire catalogue of Hexis CAD and digital printing products is made available to the Enstone factory in England, where the majority of the Formula 1 cars of the diamond-shaped manufacturer are designed. Joe Mcnamara, who is in charge of painting and graphics for the Alpine F1 Team, can draw from it to create and renew the team's signage.

The partnership also includes the branding of various other team vehicles, including 17 logistics, engineering and hospitality trucks, as well as all of the Alpine F1 Team's signage needed for international travel.

In addition, the Hexis R&D laboratories, located at the two Hexis production sites - in Frontignan in the Hérault region and Hagetmau in the Landes region - develop customised products, adapted to the specificities of the Formula 1 world. Hexis' experts have to meet two requirements in particular: to create extremely thin covering films in order to reduce their weight, and to make them easy to change.

And finally, as part of this partnership, Hexis is making its network of certified independent installers available to carry out the various coverings used by the Alpine F1 Team.
