After nine artists at the beginning of March, it's the turn of the students of EPSAA, the visual communication school of the City of Paris, to give colors to Paris with new artistic posters.

In order to put art back in the spotlight, the singer Mika, accompanied by his sister Yasmine, launched a large exhibition in the streets of Paris, realized in collaboration with the city of Paris, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the street furniture JCDecaux.

Displays of cultural events cancelled due to covid have been displaying original art since the beginning of the month. "This open-air exhibition aims, beyond 'giving back colors to Paris', to value the creation and support the artists" says the city of Paris.

From March 3 to 15, nine artists selected by Mika exhibited their works created for this occasion on flagpoles, Morris columns, bus shelters and other communication spaces in the capital. Passers-by could appreciate the creations of Aurélia Durand, Laurindo Feliciano, Annick Kamgang, Marie Mohanna, Lamia Ziade, Alexandre Benjamin Navet, Lamarche-Ovize, Rosa Maria Unda Souki, Ugo Gattoni but also a creation of the singer and Yasmine.

And since March 24, the students of the Ecole Professionnelle Supérieure d'Arts Graphiques (EPSAA), a public institution of the city of Paris, have taken over this open-air exhibition.

The art students worked on the theme of Paris' motto: "Fluctuat Nec Mergitur" (It is beaten by the waves, but does not sink), to pay tribute to the strength and resilience of Paris and its inhabitants. More than 100 posters were created and Mika selected 10 of them.

And in addition to being proud of this partnership, EPSAA was also able to boast that one of its former students, Hugo Gattoni, was in the first selection! A 2010 graduate of the school, Hugo Gattoni is now an art director and illustrator. He has worked for prestigious brands such as Conde Nast, Hermes, The Museum of London, New York Times, Nike, Nissan, Ruinart and Rolex.
