A new division exclusively dedicated to specialty products at Lecta

Lecta France will distribute the group's adhesives, metallics, thermal papers and one-sided coated papers.

In order to strengthen its position in the specialty paper market, the paper manufacturer Lecta is reviewing its commercial organization. The group, which brings together the companies Cartiere del Garda, Condat and Torraspapel Malmenayde, has created a new entity dedicated to the distribution of these products in manufacturing, until now managed by Torraspapel Malmenayde.

Chaired by Corrado Lignana, the new company, called Lecta France, will be operational as of April 1. "The sales teams don't change and neither does the production of these products." says Lecta France.

"In the market for specialties such as adhesive, metallized and single-sided coated paper, growth forecasts are positive and encouraging. For several years now, the Lecta Group has had the ambition to expand in these segments." explains the group.

Specialty paper sales now account for 38% of the group's revenues (compared with 27% five years ago) and now contribute more than half of Lecta's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.

And France is a strategic market for the paper manufacturer. 100 million euros have been invested in recent years in the Condat plant located at Lardin-Saint-Lazare in the Dordogne. A production line has been converted to manufacture specialty products.

"The creation of Lecta France further confirms Lecta's commitment to this specialization strategy." It should enable better coordination between the group's commercial and industrial entities.

Lecta currently operates six plants in Spain and Italy, and one in France, the Condat plant in Le Lardin St Lazare in the Dordogne. Its offices are located in London, UK and its operational headquarters are in Spain.
