Which font would you choose to replace Calibri on Microsoft Office?

The American company wants to replace its default font and is asking for users' opinions on the choice of the new one.

Microsoft Office changes its default font. For 15 years, the place had been occupied by the Calibri font (which had itself replaced Times New Roman). If you are for example a user of the word processing software Word, it is Calibri that appears automatically when you enter text. But this will no longer be the case. The company has decided to replace Calibri with a new typeface and to take into account the opinion of users on social networks.

Five typefaces selected as potential replacements

Microsoft has ordered five original fonts as potential replacements for Calibri. "The new fonts cover the different sans serif styles: humanistic, geometric, Swiss and industrial" explains the American company. These are the fonts Tenorite, Skeena, Bierstadt, Seaford, and Grandview.

Tenorite is described as a sans-serif font with a warm, friendly style; Bierstadt is sans-serif and particularly crisp; Skeena is sans-serif, but based on traditional serif font shapes and modulated strokes between thick and thin; Seaford is sans-serif with gently asymmetrical shapes; and Grandview is sans-serif derived from classic German road and railroad signage, designed to be readable at a distance and in poor conditions.

Microsoft specifies that the fonts that will not be chosen will nevertheless be available in the font menu.
