The Moroccan company Multisac, which specializes in the production of flexible packaging, has acquired a CI flexo press from Koenig & Bauer's Evo XD series.
This flexo line of the German manufacturer is conceived for the use of inks on base of solvents or water on various supports, like plastic films, ultrafine and sensitive supports known as PEBD, coated supports or paper. It has a web width of 1320 mm and a cut-off of 370 to 1000 mm.
Among its strengths are the highly efficient but energy-saving ventilation system in the Drying Tunnel and the AIF automatic pressurization system, which requires no ink during set-up.
The intuitive REGI_Touch tracking setting reduces the start-up strike. All important automation and functionality is integrated into the new touch screen to make the operator's job easier. The Evo XD is also equipped with the latest automation technology for fast job changes. Depending on the different substrates, the machine can reach production speeds of up to 500m/min.
Located near Casablanca, Multisac is one of the leading companies in North Africa, with nearly one million flexible packages produced in the factory every day and exported to 21 countries.
With Koenig & Bauer's modern technology, the company hopes to gain a competitive advantage with its new machine in the packaging market.
