Swiss manufacturer Bobst is launching a new solution in its DRO range of corrugated box production lines: the Masterline DRO. More than 600 DRO machines have been installed worldwide over the past 30 years. Configurable up to nine colors, this new flexo printing and rotary die-cutting machine integrates more than 10 new patented technologies for the production of corrugated packaging.
It is a high volume, all-in-one solution, providing one-pass interior and exterior flexo printing, die-cutting, waste ejection, multi-ply separation, squaring to bundling.
Designed for the production of shipping boxes, ready-to-use packaging, trays, industrial cartons and consumer packaging, the Bobst converting machine achieves a very high output of 12,000 sheets per hour or more than 40 million m 2 per year.
This equipment prints and cuts E-flute corrugated cardboard up to double flute.
The Masterline DRO is equipped with two quality control systems for good print registration: Start & Go, which automatically adjusts multi-color jobs with compensation for plate irregularities in just 11 sheets, and the Lead & Print system, which compensates for board irregularities during production.
In addition, it is equipped with a dust collection device to obtain a flawless printing and efficient cutting, thanks to the ejection of more than 99.9% of cutting waste.
This machine can be completed with the fully automatic Speedpal palletizer.
"At a time when brands are demanding ever-higher diecutting and printing quality from corrugated packaging suppliers, checking both boxes while maintaining a profit margin is an increasingly important issue for box manufacturers," said David Arnaud, product marketing manager for FFGeurosDRO machines. The Bobst Masterline DRO meets these needs perfectly, and we are confident that it will become the new industry standard."
